The Mother of Swords perches confidently and strong. With sharp perception and a keen eye, she’s a no-bullshit and straight-to-the-point soul. Her card, simply black and white with solid straight lines reminds us of a strong sense of determination. Dignified and regal, she prefers things to be drama-free. Extremely knowledgeable in her field, she moves ahead full force with her convictions, but she isn’t unkind. Continue Reading

The Mother of Pentacles lies down while her fawn gently rests upon her. Domestic, loving, and patient, she excels in the home. She’s associated with the qualities of a healer and is very connected to nature. She’s nurturing, generous, and warmhearted; others are comforted by her presence.

The Mother of Pentacles easily understands material concerns. Using her instincts, she catches on quickly to subtle roots of problems and finds tangible ways to solves them. She uses the resources made available to her and works in the material world. She’s capable of creating what she focuses her attention on. Leading by example, she senses how to approach the material world, physicality, finances, and all things tangible.

This week’s card asks you how her character traits currently impact and influence your life. Are you tuned into your physical surroundings? Are you giving enough attention to the people, plants, and animals in your life? Think about how much you are willing to give support and help to others and yourself.

Until next week, xoxo

Welcome to my favourite card in the deck: the death card. Now, I know, I know. This card can be rather intimidating. After all, death isn’t a particularly easy thing to face. However, if we don’t take it literally, it’s really rather beautiful. For the week ahead, we’re asked to give some thought and focus to the things that must end in our lives.

Consider patterns, behaviours, thoughts, and perspectives that no longer serve you. What can you move beyond to see and feel the world differently?

Consider any type of energy that you’ve been carrying around that no longer works for you. Have you been holding a grudge? Stressing out about the future or lamenting the past? How can you approach difficult situations differently to allow you the ability to shed any negativity, guilt, or worry?

Consider your personal and work space. Are your areas cluttered – littered with stuff that you can sort through, throw out, giveaway, gift, or donate?

Move through the week ahead keeping in mind how you can shed the stuff you simply don’t need anymore. Clear the way for a new energy in 2018.

Until next week, xoxo

This week’s card is the Father of Pentacles. The suit of Pentacles refers to worldly possessions and is ruled by the Earth element. These speak to issues of our home, money, and career. They reflect our generousity or greed.

In the predominantly b+w Wild Unknown deck, when the full spectrum of colours appear, it’s not by accident. This alludes to the notion of a full and multifaceted aspect of our character. A place within which we feel rounded and complete. The Father of Pentacles stands proud and emanates his energy outwards. He stands with his head held high with confidence and is steadfast.

To some, he may seem boring or predictable. But the Father of Pentacles’ strength lies in the fact that he’s steady and gentle, with an extremely calm temperament. Underneath it all, he’s incredibly passionate and prioritizes his family, job, and home. He’s entrepreneurial and diligent in his work. He works hard for his results and wants to make a big impact on the world.

For this third week of 2018, we’re being asked to look at how we can stand confidently in our pursuits. How can you move forward with something you’re passionate about? Where can you direct your energy to get the most results? What can you do to feel more well-rounded in your pursuits? This can be big or little things. There’s no need to put the weight of the world on your shoulders. Just move in the direction that feels good.

Until next week, xoxo
